University Day

The 19th annual University Day, held on May 3rd at Park Synagogue Main, was a wonderful day of learning for all!  Thank you to the Ida & Herman Weinberg Fund for sponsoring the opening panel discussion on “Cleveland’s Renaissance,” featuring Ari Maron, Joel Ratner, Albert Ratner, Chris Ronayne, with Hallie Bram Kogelschatz as Moderator.

The 150 adults of all ages who attended University Day also heard excellent presentations by Rabbi Joshua Skoff , Amy Wachs Fellner, Prof. Doron Kalir, Dr. Roy Berko, Richard Weiner, and Jerry Graham.  The day ended with a delightful concert of “Jewish Composers – American Songs:  From Tin Pan Alley to Broadway” by Larry Sheir, accompanied by Madeline Bloom Levitz.

Many thanks go to the University Day Co-Chairs Gloria Goldstein and Enid Kushner and the entire planning committee for putting together such an outstanding day of education! We also thank the Harriet & Al Fader Senior Adult Program Fund for their generous support of University Day.
