Kashering of Utensils – Hag Halah
Sunday, April 13 @ 9:00 am-12:00 noon
Park Synagogue East, Kitchen
Interested in kashering for Passover in the traditional
manner? Gadi Galili, Park Synagogue's Mashgiach, will supervise the immersion of metal
items into boiling water. Only utensils constructed of metal (no wood, plastic
or teflon parts) may be kashered. Items must be thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned 24 hours prior to the immersion. For additional information, contact: Gadi Galili at (216) 371-2244, ext. 193.
Authorization for the sale of chametz
Download the form to permit Rabbi Skoff or Gadi Galili to
act in your behalf to sell all chametz possessed by you – knowingly or
unknowingly – as defined by Torah and Rabbinic law, and to lease all places
wherein chametz owned may be found. The transaction will be in effect for the
duration of Pesach, beginning Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:00 am until Tuesday,
April 22, 2014 at 10:00 pm.
Bedichat Chametz – The Search for Chametz
The search for the chametz should be conducted Sunday evening, April 13th. Using a candle, feather and wooden spoon, search for chametz in your home. To make sure that the search is successful, several pieces of bread could be scattered throughout various parts of the house by an adult to be collected by the children during the search. Before the actual search begins, light the candle and recite the blessing.
