Outreach to Children, Family and Adults:

1. Hope Lodge - Filled
11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland 4:00 - 7:00 pm
Prepare, serve and enjoy dinner with residents with cancer. Volunteers supply food, must be healthy (no colds, please cancel if sick).
Ages 10+     8-10 volunteers needed

2. JFSA Group Homes Filled
PSE 1:00 - 2:30 pm
Run bingo games, serve refreshments to developmentally disabled adults
Ages 8+    6-8 volunteers needed

3. Ronald McDonald House - Filled
10415 Euclid Ave. 9:30 - 11:30 am
Prepare and serve breakfast/brunch to residents
Ages 13+    10 volunteers needed

4. West Side Catholic Shelter 
3135 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland  11:00 am - 2:00 pm 
Prepare & serve brunch for residents, conduct art projects with children,  volunteers supply all food, must sign a confidentiality form
ages 10+    6-8 volunteers needed

Outreach to Senior Adults:

5. Arden Courts
8100 E. Washington St., Chagrin Falls 1:30 - 2:30 pm
Bring your docile pet to visit with residents. Pets must have up-to-date shots.
All ages    Up to 4 pets and families

6. The Fountains Assisted LivingFilled

1555 Brainard Rd., Lyndhurst  1:00-2:00 p.m 
Bring your docile pet to visit with residents. Pets must have up-to-date shots.
All ages    Up to 6 pets and families

7. Montefiore Home 
One David Myers Pkwy., Beachwood 1:45 - 4:00 pm 
Transport & play bingo with residents
All ages    16 volunteers needed

8. Stone Gardens

Park's Got Talent show! Performers of all ages welcome, unlimited number of volunteers needed.

9. The Weils 
16695 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls 1:30 - 2:30 pm
Performance by Park’s Volunteer Choir, open only to Park’s Volunteer Choir and family members only

10. Wiggins Place - Postponed

Performance by Park's Jr. Klezmer Band, open to Jr. Klezmer Band and family members only


Gardening/Clean-Up Projects:

11. Council Gardens 
2501 N. Taylor Road, Cleveland Hts. 2:00 - 4:00 pm 
Help clean up and mulch residents' community garden
Ages 13+   15 volunteers needed

12. Jewish Cemetery Clean Up - Cancelled
Cemetery to be determined 9:30 am -12:00 noon 
Help clean-up historic Jewish cemetery, bring own work gloves & garden equipment. Rain or shine
Ages 10+    unlimited number of volunteers needed


13. Menorah Park - Filled

Plant flowers in intergenerational courtyard, bring own work gloves & garden tools

Hunger Projects:

14. Bag Lunches for the Homeless Filled
PSE Social Hall 1:00 - 2:00 pm 
Prepare & pack bag lunches for the homeless, volunteers are asked to contribute food for lunches, no volunteers with peanut allergies
Ages 10+  30 volunteers needed

15. Cleveland Food Bank
15500 S. Waterloo Road, Cleveland 9:00 am –12 noon Sort & pack surplus food, sign release, wear closed toe & heel shoes
Ages 12+    30 volunteers needed

16. JFSA - Drop in!
PSE kitchen   Drop-in between 11:30 am – 12:00 noon 
Make dry soup mix packets for JFSA clients in need
Ages 8+    10 volunteers needed


Packing & Delivering Projects:

17. Bellefaire/JCB - Filled
PSE 1:00 - 2:00 pm 
Pack bags with daily essentials for  for homeless teens in our community, volunteers will be asked to donate items for the project
Ages 5+    10 volunteers needed

18. Cookie deliveryFilled
Start at PSE, pick up 11:00 - 11:30 am
Deliver cookies to area police and fire departments
All ages    10 families needed

19. Care Packages for US soldiers - Filled
PSE Library 10:00–11:00 am
Pack care packages for US soldiers overseas. Volunteers purchase items for boxes (cost approximately $10-$15 for individual or $20-$25 for couple/family). Can’t join us, but want to sponsor a box? We welcome monetary donations to support this project.

20. Cleveland Clinic Children’s HospitalFilled
PSE  11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Put together activity boxes for young patients. Volunteers provide items for boxes.
Ages 5+  8 families needed


21. MedWish

Pack and sort medical supplies to send to third world countries, wear closed-toe shoes
Ages 13+     20-30

Miscellaneous Projects:

22. Area Hospitals - Drop in!
PSE, Drop-in from 
11:00 am - 12:00 noon 
Stuff heart pillows for breast cancer patients, and decorate cards. Also need volunteers to sew pillows BEFORE Mitzvah Day.
Ages 5+    unlimited volunteers needed

23. American Red Cross - Drop in (as space allows)
PSE - Room 147  9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Donate blood to the American Red Cross. Please make appointment at (216) 371-2244, ext. 202,
walk-ins also welcome, check blood donor restrictions at www.redcross.org
ages 17+ can donate

24. Make cards and letters to U.S. and Israeli soldiers - Drop in! 

PSE Lobby, Drop-in 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

25. Cookie Bakers Filled
Bake cookies at home for area fire and police departments, then drop-off at PSE from 9:00 - 9:30 am. Great family project!

26. Gift of Life Bone Marrow Testing - Drop in!
PSE, Drop-in from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 pm 
A simple swab inside your mouth could save the life of someone with cancer or genetic disorders.
Ages 18-61 welcome

27. Rescue Village - Filled
PSE, Drop-in from
11:00 am - 3:00 noon 
Make "cuddle packs" out of soft socks and dry rice to give comfort to kittens and puppies. Volunteers supply soft/fuzzy adult-size socks.
All ages

28. Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital - Drop in!
PSE   Drop-in between 11:00 am - 12:00 noon 
Make 4th of July decorations to brighten the hospital's hallways.
All ages
